So the blog and I apparently have taken a long enough break seeing as how my last post was in 2012 and it is now spring of 2015. So here is what is new with me since then... I took a year to study as an exchange student in South Korea back in 2013 and boy did that really set my life on the path it is on now. I can now speak Korean its not perfect but I am continuing to work on it. In the later part of 2013 I met that man that would change my life forever... I started dating Kyungkyu in December of 2013 and by February 2014 we were engaged and planning our wedding. What a whirlwind that was, but we successfully are almost done our 1st year of marriage. We have had are bumps but we are working through them one step at a time. We started my husbands immigration process in October of 2014 and step 1 of 2 processes has been completed, but we are now waiting for the second to finish. It has been a huge struggle for us and I thank our families for all their support and help. It has cost us over 5000 Canadian for his immigration thus far. :( As for now we are both living together in S. Korea and working while we wait for word that my husband can come to Canada. I am currently working for an English school named BCM and I like it there. Our Korean wedding will take place while we are in Korea for my husbands family, the day is set for June 13th, 2015. I am thankful every single day for the blessings that I have received and hope to continue on this path towards our future. Whats next for us not sure; it could be kids, new jobs, travel, you name it... all I know is that it will be an ADVENTURE and for that I have not doubts.^^

Moving!!

So for those who still read my blog or just happen upon it here is what has been going on in my life. I MOVED first of all, I am still located on the west side of Lethbridge but I am now in a better place for me, I have to amazing roommates Sarah and Raiven whom I love already. I also gained a walk in closet, hip hip hooray!! Another bonus, I am still only a 10 minute walk from the University. Also as some of my friends know I am in love with Kpop, its the music I listen to the most. And much to my joy, delight, and CRAZINESS... my favorite group BIGBANG have decided that for their big comeback to have a world wide tour and yes they are coming to North America. My mom and I are so going. They also released their music video titled BLUE and it has reached almost 11 million views (that came out on the 21st of February), they also released another music video titled BAD BOY, it came out around the 28th of February and has about 2 million views. BLUE has won two Gold Medals on youtube... yay!! They also released their ALIVE album on the 29th of February and no worries I already own it. School has been going great I am having a blast and enjoying all of my classes. I get to turn myself into a man on Tuesday in my stage makeup up class it should be entertaining. A hard year and a half...

I am now in my second year of university and I am now in my second semester. The past year and a half have been a living nightmare, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. After I graduated from high school back in 2010 I started having unexplained allergic reactions which made me go into anaphlactic shock. (Not so Fun) But I have come to terms with this issue and have taken precautions to help me; I always carry an Epipen with me and some Benedryl, I have been to one allergist and am seeing another on March 21st, I am eating healthier and trying to exercise more. I have been through a lot but I know that its not going to be over quite so soon. I have battled depression and the feeling like the world was against me, I have wanted to no longer be around... and yet here I am still plugging along. I have been pushed by my friends, peers, and teachers. Life has been rough and yet it has helped me so much. I am now a Drama Education Major and enjoying every minute of it. I am excited for what the year 2012 has offer and as of yet I am still single, but who knows what the Lord has in store for me.

So I was thinking the other day that I am so tired of being in school and then I realized that I am done by like the 26th of april that is like 2 months not even. So now I am in that stage when all you can think about is the end of the school term and now I really can't wait. But besides that I have handed in the first of two english lit. essays and boy was it hard to write (it was 5 1/2 pages [YIKES]) and I handed in my first production report in Drama which was nice to have done. This next week I have a YSA dance coming up and I have a play to go see on the 12th called Confessions of a Paperboy can't wait for that to be done I believe my prof said there is a total of one actor that is it and its 2 hours or something like that. BLAH. The weather here has been pretty cold lately but it looks like it is slowly beginning to warm up a teenie tiny bit. This year has been quite the year so far as I start 2011 knowing that I was going to have to get my bottom 2 wisdom teeth removed and that was sure painful. I have really missed my family since being away from home especially Kinsley because she is my sister after all and I miss seeing her all the time I mean there is like 9 years between us. I also greatly miss my puppy Ryker as he would curl up in bed with me every morning and he still does when I go home to visit. YAY. Well I will keep you posted later!!

The Dawn of a new day

So, its been a long time since I have blogged and I can't believe that I have slacked off so bad. School is going well; this semester I am taking Drama 1000A, Psychology 1000A, Survey of English Literature II 2450A, and Anthropology Popular Culture 2110A; and my profs are all really great. I have started to wear my retainer every day 24/7 and though it hurts I know it will help me in the end. I am really excited for reading week when I can go home and be with my mom, dad, sister, and the puppies. Its really amazing the changes that take place personally once you leave home and begin to prepare for your future, it needs to happen and sometimes its tough but its worth it.

HALLOWEEN

I don't know about the rest of the world, but for once this year I am so excited for Halloween. My costume is going to be a girlie version of the mad hatter... because Wonderland is a wonderful place...LOL! School is tough tough tough but I am holding my own. Oh, and today I am getting my hair cut by my aunt for free... YAY!!! I feel so cheap in a way but now that I am a student I have to be. Living in the house I am in is great it really feels like home to me and I love my roommates, every single one of them though I see some more than others. And I still don't know what I am allergic too and what is causing these reactions, hopefully I will know sooner than later.

SO LETS HAVE A LOOK INTO THE LIFE OF RACHEL!! SO FAR UNIVERSITY IS GOING REALLY WELL I LOVE MY CLASSES, WELL.....ALL EXCEPT FOR SOCIOLOGY. I HAD NO IDEA THAT THE STUDY OF SOCIETY WOULD BE SO BORING AND DUMB. MY FAV. CLASS IS HISTORY, ITS SO INTERESTING. WE STARTED LEARNING ABOUT THE CAVEMEN AND NOW WE ARE INTO THE MEDIEVAL ERA, AND THE PROF IS REALLY AWESOME AS WELL I LOVE IT. I MISS BROOKS THOUGH MORE SO THE PEOPLE THAN THE PLACE BUT YOU GET THE IDEA. I HAD THE FALL BALL ON THE 24TH OF SEPTEMBER THAT WAS INTERESTING..... NOT ONE OF MY FUNNER TIMES, IT WAS GOOD THOUGH. I AM SO GLADE TO BE ON MY OWN AND LIVING THE LIFE OF A YSA, HOORAY. SO I HAVE TO GO........ARCHAEOLOGY IS ABOUT TO START !!!! SO TTFN.... TA TA FOR NOW!
